airfrance bus from terminal 3 to arc de triomphe

Postby mickcoulson on Sun Feb 01, 2009 12:57 pm

Hi, my wife and I are visiting Paris in March. We land at terminal 3 ( jet 2 ) and would like to travel to Arc De Triomphe by Airfrance bus, then take a taxi to our hotel near the Eiffel Tower. I'm a bit confused about terminal 3.Has it got another name ? can we catch the airfrance bus at terminal 3 ? can I purchase tickets online or on the bus ?
hope this is ok it's the first time i've used a forum.

Hi Mick,

Welcome to the Paris By Train forums.

The Air France buses (called Les Cars Air France in French) only pick up passengers at Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. But, it's easy to take a shuttle train between Terminal 3/Roissypole and Terminal 1.

You'll first need to walk from Terminal 3 to Roissypole, which contains one of the RER train stations at Airport CDG. See the CDG Terminal 1 to Paris article for pictures on the Roissypole building and the entrance for the CDGVAL shuttle train to Terminal 1. This shuttle is free and pretty efficient. Don't get off too early at the parking lots in between terminals. And try to head in the right direction (Roissypole is between Terminals 1 and 2.)

When you arrive at CDG Terminal 1, find Door 34 (Porte 34). This door is closest to the Les Cars Air France stop. See the Bus/Coach CDG to Paris article for some pictures of the Les Cars Air France area of Terminal 1.

You'll want to take a coach on Ligne 2 (Line 2). You may purchase tickets from the ticket counter right beside the stop. It's located inside the little glass enclosed... hut/shack/bulding (sorry, I don't have a good description of the ticket office).

Best regards,

Ben
