CDG to Pau

Postby Redrose on Sun Feb 01, 2009 1:39 pm

Just found this site as I'm trying to help my student relative to get to Pau University on 1st March.
Flying into CDG in the early morning and hoping to get train TGV to Pau.
Can you recommend a route and best price ticket please?
Is it direct to Bayonne from CDG and change there for Pau or do you go into Gare de Nord from CDG and cross the city to another Gare?

Hi Redrose,

There is one TGV train departing Aeroport CDG for Bayonne at 13h37 costing 95€ on March 1st. From Bayonne s/he will have to transfer to a Ter train to complete the trip to Pau. Ter train seating is not reserved; just board the train and sit wherever you like. See my article on CDG Terminal 2 to Paris for instructions on how to find the Terminal 2 TGV train station. (I'm assuming s/he is landing at Terminal 2.)

If you're in Europe, TGV-Europe.com will probably be your best bet on purchasing a ticket ahead of time.

Best of luck,

Ben
