CDG to Reims

Postby Joy174 on Fri Apr 10, 2009 3:51 am

What's the best route to get from CDG airport to Reims?

I arrive on a BA flight into Terminal 2A of CDG and want to travel to Reims the same devening. Is there any direct way to get from CDG to L'est (for the TGV) or is it only possible going to Gard du Nord and transferring? Is there any alternate route that would be easier/quicker that doesn't involve going into Paris?

Hi Joy,

Gare de l'Est and Gare du Nord are very close to each other, one metro stop or about 5 minutes walk. The RER B from CDG Airport to Paris, stops at Gare du Nord, but not Gare de l'Est, although your ticket will be good for a transfer on the Metro between the two Gares.

Nearly all TGV's leave from Paris, so it's very common that people flying into CDG must take a train into Paris, then leave by TGV, sometimes back-tracking. This includes TGV's to Reims.

Best regards,

Ben
