getting from CDG to Montparnasse

Hello,

I think your website is great! It has lots of useful information. I have 25 people traveling from the US to Bordeaux and Paris for my wedding in May.
For some of my guests, the train times from CDG to Bordeaux or Libourne aren't working out the best. Would you have any advice on how first time travellers to Europe/Paris could get to Montparnasse?

Otherwise, do you know how much time we should allow from flight arrival to train departure from the CDG train station? Do you think 2 hours is enough to get through immigrations, customs, baggage claim ect..?

I would appreciate your suggestions! Thanks!

Hi Lizette,

Hope I'm not too late in responding here.

To get through passport control, baggage collection / customs should take you about 45 min, up to an hour at most.

There are direct trains from CDG to Bordeaux, taking 4hours 25 minutes for the journey (approx.), so no connection is needed via Gare Montparnasse.

Try TGV-Europe.com for searching train schedules.

Best of luck,

Ben

Hi,

I need to get from Paris CDG to Montparnasse to get a TGV to Nantes.

Does anyone know roughtly how much and how long it would take a taxi to do this journey (around 10am and 7pm respectively)?

I know Air France Buses does this route (line 4) for 27 Euros return, but the web site doesn't indicate how long the journey will take?

Thanks in advance...
