Great Website. OK now how do I get to my hotel?

Postby Zigie 5 on Thu Apr 02, 2009 8:52 pm

OK, Ben we are a group of 4 traveling to Paris in July. W  e would like to get our feet wet early by taking the train/metro from CDG to our hotel. Our flight arrives mid morning on Tues 14 July....a holiday...at Aerogare 2 Terminal A. We want to get to our hotel, The Inter Hotel de la Bourdonnais. It said something about taking underground line 8 to the Ecole Militaire metro station. How would one do this? Do we transfer from the RER to the metro system. Our first time in Paris. Thanks in advance for your help!!!!!

Hi Zigie,

Here are some articles to read first: Paris Metro and Paris RER and the difference between the Metro & the RER. Those will give you the basics of how to get around.

The best way to find your route is to use the Metro route planner by the Paris Transit Authority. Let me know if you have any troubles using it!

Best of luck,

Ben

Ben, thanks for the follow up. Yes, i did find the planner after emailing you and found a route that works.....cool stuff!! We can't wait to check out Paris. Last summer while visiting New York City, we rode the subways all over, so we are now ready to try the Paris metro system. By the end of our trip, i am sure we will feel pretty comfortable....Thanks, ZIGIE
