Have a Paris Pass to center of Paris

Postby Kate Cheung on Sat Jun 06, 2009 8:38 pm

Hi Ben,

Our family with 3 adults, 1 teen and 1 child will visit Paris during 22-Jul to 25-Jul-09. We have purchased a 4 days Paris Pass, can we activate it in the Paris CDG airport and take the RER train to Best Western Hotel Saint Honor in the city center? Our plane will arrive at 11:25a.m. in the CDG airport.

If it is the best choice to purchase a 4 days Paris Pass for our visit? Any other suggestions?

ThanKs,
Kate

Hi Kate,

If I understand correctly from the Paris Pass site, the pass includes a Paris Visite Card, a 1-3 zone version. This doesn't cover CDG Airport which is in Zone 5. Thus, you'll need to purchase a single ticket (Billet Ile-de-France) for each person from CDG to Paris (cost is 8,40€).

The discounts that come along with the Paris Pass make the pass worth it for those who are planning to visit those sights. Otherwise, the simple passes from RATP are more economical.

Best regards,

Ben
