I've read on many websites now that the Carte Orange has been replaced by the Navigo Decouverte card. From your description on this site, it looks like I buy the Navigo Decouverte card for 5 euros and then add the Carte Orange I want onto that? What I'm trying to find out is how to get a month pass on the metro in Paris.

Hi Lizzy,
The Carte Orange subscriptions for Passe Navigo come in 2 flavors: weekly or monthly. The French word for monthly is "mensuel". When you buy your Passe Navigo Découverte from any Metro ticket window, you'll want to ask for however many zones you wish (1 - 2 will cover all of the Paris Metro) and for either one month or one week. Foreign credit cards will most likely not work, so have euro cash handy.
