Paris to Amsterdam

I'm wondering if anyone has suggestions for the best (read: most inexpensive) way to get from Paris to Amsterdam by train. Any help will be appreciated!

If you manage to book early enough, Thalys high speed trains to Amsterdam should be reasonable.
I just did a quick search on the Thalys.com site and found a one-way ticket from Paris Nord to Amsterdam central for 36€ on Sept. 24.
