We will be staying in Paris in July for 3 days, leaving for one night to visit some friends in Laon and then returning to Paris for several more days. My questions are: Do I need to buy a ticket in advance for the TER train that runs from Paris to Laon or just buy it at the station on the day of our travel? If we are leaving on the train that leaves around 3:30 p.m. in order to arrive in Laon at 5:00, what time should we be at the station? What is the TER train like? Is there food available or the possibility of bringing food on board? Thanks!!
