Paris Visite Pass VS Billet Ile-de-France Train Ticket

Postby Jacelyn on Tue Mar 10, 2009 8:17 am

Hi, is me again!

Can I buy a Paris Visite Pass for 3 days in the airport and use it for RER or Metro transfer from CDG Airport to Gare du Nord?

Or

I need to buy a Billet Ile-de-France Train Ticket to transfer from CDG Airport to Gare du Nord, and then buy another 3 days Paris Visite Pass for the next 3 days usage?

Thank you!

Jacelyn, You can buy a Paris Visite Pass for 3 days and 6 zones (5 zones is not possible) for 39,70 euros. You can then travel from Charles de Gaulle to Paris, in Paris itself and back to Charles de Gaulle. Or you could buy a Carte Orange sur Passe Navigo Découverte for 3 days and 5 zones for euros, with the same possibilities. Carte Orange is obviously the cheapest card, but you have to bring a small photo of yourself to stick on the paper card that goes with the Carte.
