Travel help!

Postby littlemin on Wed Nov 19, 2008 7:19 pm

Hello... we need some help!!!!

Firstly we need to know what the best way of travelling from CDG to parc des expesitions would be. Looked into a taxi but it would be too expensive! I've seen that we could get on the RER but it seems to say that the ticket we need to get is one that would take us all the way to paris for 8.80

We would like to travel into Paris, which as we can work out would be just using the B line, which ticket would be best to get? And would this ticket enable us to get on and off for the day?

Thank you in advance

Hi Laura,

Parc des Expositions, at Porte de Versailles Metro station, is accessible by Tram Line 3.

Take the RER B from CDG Airport to Paris until Cité Universitaire station. From there transfer (using the same ticket) onto Tramway 3 in direction Pont de Gargliano and descend at stop Porte de Versailles (Parc des Expositions).

If you'd like a single day pass covering CDG to Paris and any public transport within Paris, buy a Carte Paris Visite, 6 zone, 1 day (18,50€/adult, 9,25€/child under 12).

A slightly cheaper method would be to buy a single Billet Ile-de-France for the RER B train from CDG to Paris (8,40€), then purchase a Ticket Mobilis day ticket for central Paris (covers Paris fare zones 1 & 2) for 5,80€. (A 5 zone Ticket Mobilis, which would normally cover CDG, is specifically not valid for CDG... this is a money grab).

Best regards,

Ben
