Use of Navigo Decouverte

Postby JohnC136 on Sat Jul 04, 2009 11:17 am

Thanks so much for demystifying the ND pass. Now, trying to figure out the best way from CDG into Paris, is the ND accepted on the Roisseybus and/or the AirFrance bus? How about on the tourist bus which I think is called the Balubus.

Great website for newbies visiting Paris!

The Navigo Découverte does not work on Les Cars Air France, which is a separate company not affiliated with RATP/SNCF.

Any transportation services that are on the networks: Optile, RATP, Transilien, will accept the pass, as long as you've paid for the correct number of Zones. To see what the symbols for each of these networks looks like, take a look at a Metro ticket on the Paris Metro basics article.

Correction: The Balabus is covered by the Navigo Découverte. I thought I had read Batobus (which is a Seine river boat) rather than Balabus, which is a central Paris bus route that passes many famous landmarks and is operated by RATP.
