which is the best option?

Ask questions about anything to do with public transportation in Paris and France.

which is the best option?

Hello,

I have read so many websites trying to figure out which is the best option for transportation within Paris and I am completely confused. First we will be arriving at the Paris East station. From there we are going to Disneyland for 2 days. Then from Disneyland to Central Paris for 3 days (for only zone 1 sightseeing) then we will be flying out of Charles de Gaulle airport.

It seems like just buying the Packet of 10 tickets will be the easiest solution. That way we won't have to worry about getting our moneys worth. But what does it cost to go from Disney to Central Paris? And how many of these single tickets need to be used to go to Central Paris? We are arriving on a Wednesday and flying out on a Monday so it seems like the 5 day 1-5 zone pass will be a waste of money?

Any help is extremely appreciated.

Marty,

This is my suggestion:

Upon arrival at Paris East, go down to the Metro level, Line 5. Buy as many Billet Ile de France tickets for the train to Paris Disney as you'll need for your party at at ticket window. Buy them "aller-rétour" (return tickets). Take Metro Line 5 (direction Place d'Italie) to Gare de Lyon, switch to RER A direction Marne La Vallée. Use the same Billet you purchased at Paris East for both the Metro and RER (it's good for both).

When you return to Paris for touring around, buy Ticket Mobilis Day tickets, 1-2 zone, for each day that you plan on riding the bus/metro more than 4 times. Otherwise, buy carnets (books of ten) of Ticket t+ and split it amongst your party.

For your outbound flight at CDG, again, buy Billet Ile de France tickets for getting from Paris to CDG.

Best regards,

Ben
