    Default CDG to Chateau Versailles

We are arriving at CDG at 9:45 on 17 September and would like to take the RER to Versailles. Questions- cost, amount of time, ease of transfer in Paris. We will spend the night there. Anything else I should ask?

Cost: About than 12€/person. Time: about 60-70 minutes depending on transfers. Ease: pretty straight forward.

CDG Airport to Versailles by train: buy train tickets for both CDG to Paris and Paris to Versailles while you're at the CDG train station ticketing office. Cost will be Take the RER B train from CDG to Paris Chatelet Les Halles station. Transfer here to Metro Line 14 direction Saint Lazare until the end of the line, using the same RER ticket. Then at Gare Saint Lazare, make your way to the Main Train Lines / Grandes Lignes level (top level) and go towards lanes 1-4. Trains for Versailles Rive Droite will be leaving from one of the lanes between 1-4. Look at the overhead screens which list all stations. One of the will say "Versailles Rive Droite" as destination, which is what you want.

Punch your train ticket (a billet Ile-de-France for trains operated by Transilien) using the grey machines with green arrows pointing towards to the black stamping area, then get on the train until the end of the line, which puts your about 5-10 minute walk from Chateau de Versailles.

    Best regards,

    Ben
