Hi. I will be visiting Paris from the Scotland this Christmas. Since my only means of transport will be the trains, I was was wondering whether they would be closed or not around the holidays. Also, if they are running what would the schedule be like, e.g. when would they start in the morning and finish at night.

Yes, RER, Metro, Transilien trains, buses, trams, all run on all holidays.
Service start and end times are not significantly different than normal (starting around 5:30AM ending around 01:30 on holidays, just reduced frequency during the period of operation.
