Paris train lost and found services are handled by:

  • RATP (Paris public transport organization) for objects lost on Metro lines/stations, trams, buses and RER A/B trains
  • SNCF for TGV, RER C, D, E and Transilien suburban trains such as L line towards Versailles
  • Paris Prefecture de Police (police station) in the 14th district depending on when your item was lost/stolen.

Items Lost Within 5 days

If item was lost on Paris Metro, Bus, Trams, RER A or B

Check with RATP Lost and Found

  • by phone at +33 892 69 32 46 or 08 92 69 32 46 from within Paris
  • by email via RATP contact us page (for field “Objet de votre message” choose relation client RATP)

If Item was lost on TGV trains, Transilien trains, or RER C / D / E

Contact SNCF Lost and Found

Between 5 days-15 days, your item is likely in limbo, in between transport to the Police and undergoing processing at the Police.
