As of March 14, 2022, a Covid-19 vaccination certificate / “Health Pass” / “pass sanitaire” is no longer required in France.
Travel into & around France is not restricted for Covid in any way. There are:
- no vaccination requirements
- no Covid testing requirements
- no restrictions on entry for tourism
The official France government page detailing this can be found here:
The below article is kept as is for archival purposes, but again, none of the below restrictions / requirements are in place as of March 14, 2022.
France will now (as of Nov. 8, 2021) provide a French vaccine passport (“Health Pass” / “pass sanitaire” / COVID certificate) with a QR code for tourists & visiting foreign nationals who have been vaccinated with an EU-approved vaccine and can present original proof of their vaccination along with a passport. (Vaccinated UK citizens don’t need this. They can use their NHS vaccination proof.)
The EU-approved vaccines are:
- Pfizer-BioNTech
- Moderna
- AstraZeneca
- Johnson & Johnson / Janssen
Pharmacies throughout France can review your vaccination card & passport and issue you a vaccine equivalency health pass for a fee of 35€ (or possibly less, but this is the maximum they can charge for this service by law).
