RER b from CDG to Paris

Hi Ben! I’m visiting Paris soon and I’m using the RATP app to help me get around. I’m noticing that the app does not display the RER b train as an option to Paris Gare du Nord after 19:00, but I checked the timetable and I know that the RER b operates way past 19:00. I’m worried that I won’t be about to take the RER b on the days I need to get to and from the airport. Are there disruptions with the RER b during the Olympics? Is the RATP app working correctly? Thank you!

Hi there,
I just did a check on both ratp.fr and transilien.com and both were showing itineraries for CDG to Paris Gare du Nord on RER B train throughout the evening after 19h without interruption (through to midnight).  (Be sure to adjust the date & time to something appropriate for Paris.)  So, it looks like you should be fine.  I also checked for upcoming maintenance works for the RER B line and nothing is listed for the next 30 days.

For me when I'm outside of Paris using the RATP app on my phone, it tries to use my local time zone for searching itineraries, which I suppose is in the past, instead of the current Central European Time which results in bizarre suggested itineraries.  So I'm wondering if the app might be doing the same for you?

Anyways, have a peek at the itinerary suggestions on RATP / Transilien on their websites.  You shouldbe able to take the RER B from CDG to Paris without issue when you arrive.

Have a great trip!
