Hello!

we are a family of 3 traveling to Paris for 3 nights at end of July.  We have private transportation from the airport to hotel, but will need transport from our hotel in 1st arrondissement to usual tourist spots (Eiffel tower, catacombs, etc) and to gare du nord.

what is easiest and most cost effective way for us to get around?  I am overwhelmed by the options.  Between us, we will have two iPhones and two Apple Watches (paired to those phones).

thanks so much!

If you'd like to keep it simple, you could simply purchase 1 Paris Visite card from a Metro station (or RER station) ticket window, filled with 10 Metro-Train-RER tickets for your child (2.55€/each ticket = 25.50€ + 2€ for the card itself).  This will cover your child for 5 round trips or 10 one way trips across the entire city/suburbs.  While you and your partner can purchase the same 10 Paris Metro-Train-RER tickets on your iPhones (inside Apple Wallet > Transit Cards > search for "Navigo") for 25.50€ and use your phones as your transit cards.

If you think you'll need more than this many rides on public transport, your next best option would be a Navigo Week Pass for each of you, costing 37.40€ each person for unlimited rides during your 3 day stay.  (This assumes you're arriving between July 27 and July 31. Outside of these days to start your Navigo pass, it wouldn't make sense to use Navigo due to its strict Monday-Sunday validity and it not being purchaseable/usable on a Friday for the same week.)
