I have a  Visa credit card but do not know my pin number.  do you need a pin number to buy tickets at the kiosk at the Charles de Gaulle airport?

If you Visa credit card is PIN protected, yes you will need to use the PIN number.  You could try purchasing at a ticket window and ask that the ticket agent swipe your card instead, but not sure this will be allowed.
