Ticket sans contact & IDF Mobilites phone aplications allow you to buy the Navigo weekly pass directly on the phone (within the app). In this case do you have to scan the pass? If yes, are the scanning machines compatible with phones (vs the phisical card)?

Yes we need to scan a physical Navigo pass using an NFC capable phone in order to purchase passes for that Navigo card. There isn't a physical external machine that needs to be purchased/attached to the phone for the scanning of a Navigo card. A phone with a Near Field Communication (NFC) chip that's compatible with the Navigo card is the only requirement.
