Paris to Lourdes by train

By | April 10, 2023 | in

How much does it cost to go to Lourdes from Paris, is it cheaper by train than flight? I was in Paris recently and trains seem cheap, we only paid 5 euros to go to Disneyland. So is it better to buy ticket to Lourdes when we're there or cheaper if pre-booked online? Thanks, Emilia

Hi Emilia,

Paris to Lourdes on TGV / Inoui high speed train costs as low as 78€ and as high as 138€ for 2nd class reserved seats and takes 4h45m to 5 hours with direct trains from Gare Montparnasse in Paris to Lourdes station in the southern tip of France.

I'd recommend booking online ahead of time using the official national railway website at https://www.sncf-connect.com/app/en-en/home/

Booking more than 3 weeks ahead of your planned travel date seems to get better train ticket prices for France's high speed railways.  Most TGV intercity train tickets won't be available to buy/book beyond 5 months ahead of your travel date.  So if you're searching far far ahead of your planned trip, you may need to wait till 4ish months prior to book your France high speed train.  Note, the lowest price I saw (78€) was for a train was about 3+ months ahead of travel date and there were not many seats left.

Be careful when booking your train that you're not choosing the regular speed trains for Paris-Lourdes which are serviced by "Intercités" brand trains which take about 10 hours for the same journey.
