I bought 4 paris visite passes in Dec 2016. 2 adults and 2 children for zones 1-3. they are UNUSED: Are the tickets valid until Dec 2018 , for 2 years of how ?

Unused Paris Visite tickets should be valid indefinitely (since they are validated upon first use rather than at purchase time). The magnetic stripe may have lost its information/usefulness in the meantime but any Metro RER ticket window can replace the tickets if needed.
