We stayed in a hotel in a suburb of Paris. It was a short trip to central Paris. There was a circle of shops and restaurants surrounding the Metro. Is there any chance you can name that Metro station?
Thanks, Liz Robertson

Without more details about which direction away from Central Paris, I could only hazard some guesses.
The two that come to mind are Metro station Trocadero, which has a lovely view of the Eiffel Tower, is a circled street with shops & restaurants.
The other is République north east of central Paris which isn't exactly a circled street, but more like a rectangle with a statue in the center shown here: https://goo.gl/maps/RUdFxJaxpJ5cKJc49
