Hi. I’ve been trying to figure out. Do I only need one ticket from CDG to Versailles. Using the RER B line and transferring to the RER C line at Notre Dame.
I’ve been seeing that you can get fined if going outside the limit of Paris. And didn’t know if this applied from CDG to Versailles. Thanks

From CDG Airport to Versailles by train you can use the new CDG Airport Metro Train Ticket that is loaded onto either a Navigo Easy card or your iPhone Apple Wallet or Android Paris Transportation app. This ticket will cover you for the entire trip from (CDG RER B) to Paris & Paris to Versailles (RER C train). (This itinerary takes you from RER Zone 5 to Zone 1 back out to Zone 4, thus requires this particular ticket.)
The old/regular CDG to Paris RER ticket (a small coupon sized single-use ticket) is not valid for CDG to Versailles so don't buy this / use this as it most definitely does not cover this trip and fare gates will not open for you in Versailles should you try to use it. This ticket only covers RER Zone 5 to Zone 1.
