Is it possible to use contactless cards on public transport in Paris as one might in London? In London contactless is even the preferred method (with daily and weekly capping, and some fares cheaper than Oyster).

Only a few buses in Paris have the contactless credit card tap-to-pay system aboard the bus, in particular, Orlybus and Roissybus (CDG Airport bus). This is a single-ride/single-ticket system and there's no limit / capping per week like there is in London. Hopefully that will come soon, although the current tap to pay system in Paris only arrived in December 2019.
