We’re staying near Gare de Lyon but it looks as though the RERA is closed on the dates we need to travel to Disneyland.

I've updated the Disneyland train article to include a map showing you an alternate route using Metro line 1. Since you're near Gare de Lyon, take Metro 1 from Gare de Lyon to Chateau de Vincennes, then exit station & walk at ground level to Vincennes RER station and take RER A to Marne la Vallée / Disneyland (end of the line). You'll need both a Metro ticket and RER ticket for this journey if you're not using a multi-use pass like Ticket Mobilis or Navigo Jour / Navigo Week.
