Hello Ben! I'll soon be traveling to Paris for work. I'm staying in the 18th, but I will have to travel up to Pierrefitte-sur-Seine multiple days (line 13 to the university). I'm staying Monday to Wednesday the next week - is it best to simply buy a Navigo Découverte when I arrive, and renew it the next Monday? If so, does the provided picture need to be printed on 'official' glossy photo paper, or can it be printed on 'normal' paper as long as it meets the size requirements? Thank you!

Hi, sorry for the slow reply. I'm travelling at the moment.
Paris to Pierrefitte-sur-Seine is a 4-zone RER ticket costing 4.15€ each way so 9.30€ per day x 3 = 27.90€. Seeing as a Navigo Decouverte with a Navigo Week pass is 5€ + 30.75€ it would be in my opinion worth it just to go for the Navigo Week pass just for the convenience and coverage of any other trips you may feel like taking.
A regular-paper color laser / color inkjet printed face photo would be fine to use on a Navigo Decouverte pass for identification purposes. And size doesn't need to be super-precise, just ballpark 3.5cm x 2.5cm & clearly visible is fine.
