Is 3 minutes enough time?

We are looking to catch a train from London to Bayeux. We understand that we have to transfer to another train at Paris Nord. The trip guide says Magenta with only a 3 minute transfer allowance. Is Magenta a platform or another station? Is the transfer possible in 3 minutes in order for us to catch the next connection? Are there any other options?

Magenta is on the RER E commuter train line in another station connected by tunnel or street level to Gare du Nord train station.  RER E train is not a scheduled service train, it runs every 3 min. to 10 minutes (roughly) depending on the time of day.  So, I don't think it's critical you make a connection between Gare du Nord and Magenta in under 3 minutes.  I assume your train to Bayeux leaves say 30 minutes after your arrival at Gare du Nord?  Because the train to Bayeux leaves from a different major train station altogether (Gare St. Lazare).  Gare St. Lazare is accessible on the RER E train line via station Haussmann-St. Lazare.
