We will be on a river cruise that ends near the Javel Metro station on Nov. 7, 2024. We will need to take a train from Paris to Royan. Is there a metro station that is close to a railway station in Paris?

I see that trains from Paris to Royan depart from the railway station "Gare Montparnasse". Perhaps the best Metro station for this railway station is "Montparnasse Bienvenüe" accessible on Metro line 6.
When you finish your river cruise near Javel, there is both a RER train station and a Metro train station. (See the difference between Paris Metro and Paris RER.). The Javel RER C train line doesn't go to Montparnasse, but you can take Paris Metro to get from Javel to Montparnasse. Starting at Javel - Andre Citroën station take Metro line 10 in direction "Gare d'Austerlitz" until La Motte Piquet Grenelle, then transfer to Metro line 6 in direction "Nation" until Montparnasse Bienvenüe station. From there you can walk the underground tunnels/moving sidewalks to Gare Montparnasse railway station to take the ground-level/high speed trains to Royan.
