Firstly, I just wanted to say thanks for this goldmine of a blog. A question that I'm 99% sure of the answer for but please would you verify? Arrive at CDG on Aug 1st and depart on Aug 15th. 11 nights in the centre but Olympic events at Versailles and Vaires-sur-Marne (amongst others) and then 3 nights near Disney at the end. The Navigo monthly pass (on Android) seems to be the obvious choice, but is there any reason why that might not be the best option?

You are 100% correct. That would be the best option for ease of use, coverage & cost.
Note that you should be able to buy the monthly pass on your Android phone from July 20th onwards / before your arrival in France (and it will provide coverage for Aug 1 - Aug 31). Early on (in 2022) some people noted they had problems purchasing Navigo within the Paris mobile phone transport app while outside of France (but succeeded inside), but I don't believe this is an issue any longer.
