Paris Pass – "day" or "24h"?

By | August 2, 2024 | in

Am heading to Paris on Sunday, departing on Wednesday, with less than 72h in total in the city.
I'll buy a Paris 2024 pass - but just to check it's done by days as opposed to multiples of 24h?  Ie i'll need to get a 4 day rather than a 3 day pass?
thanks

Yes, it's done by days ending at midnight counting as a "day".  So you're correct, you'll need 4 days for full coverage.

If you're arriving late on your first day you could consider just using a CDG airport ticket or Orly airport ticket (both which include transfers on Metro) to get to your lodging and save the Paris 2024 Pass for the following 3-days.  If you decide to go this option, you'll need to buy your pass the next morning, otherwise the Paris 2024 Pass will be used first.

If you're arriving early on your first day and early on your last day, you may consider loading both the 3-day Paris 2024 Pass and a CDG or Orly airport ticket onto your Navigo Easy / phone simultaneously.  This way you'll have immediate coverage by the Paris 2024 Pass (it's used first) and on your 4th day the CDG / Orly airport ticket will be valid & used to get you to the airport.  Keep in mind that the single-ride, regular Paris Metro / Ticket t+ tickets cannot be loaded onto a pass or phone along with the CDG/ORY Airport tickets at the same time.  It's a quirky limitation at the moment.
