When you put the journeys onto the navigo easy card do you have to specify the journeys or do you just put the number of trips you think youll make and can you top that number up if need be..

You can load as few as a single ticket or up to 30 (if I remember correctly) of Paris Metro-Tram-RER tickets onto the Navigo Easy card and use them as you go, topping up whenever you need.  You don't need to specify the journeys prior to loading the tickets.  And the tickets are good for all 5 Paris fare zones now (excluding airports).
