Using the customer service booths, I was charged €40.50 for 3 of us to go to the designer outlet. The tickets state MLV.Chessy Vincennes.
I still have the tickets, which I can't upload & I paid as n my credit card. It seemed like a lot of money bet for the very short journey.

The price for Marne la Vallee (Disney) to Vincennes RER station is actually 6.75€ per person, each way. So 6.75 x 2 for return tickets is 13.50€ and multiplied by 3 people = 40.50€.
So the price would seem correct for the station listed on the ticket.
I think there might have been a case of lost in translation and a misunderstanding of the desired station. I believe you were wanting Val d'Europe and somehow the ticket sales agent understood Vincennes and hence the mix-up. Val d'Europe tickets would be 1.95€ x 2 x 3 = 11.70€ for your party.
