Can I use Euro Bank notes and get change from Metro Ticket machines at the Gare Du Nord Please?

Most Paris Metro ticket machines only accept Euro coins & cards, not Euro cash notes. There are change machines at Gare du Nord luggage storage which you can exchange notes for coins and then use the ticket machines.
