Navigo Easy Pass

By | March 19, 2025 | in

Hi!
When my daughter and I arrive in Paris at the CDG airport, we should go buy a Navigo easy pass in-person because we cannot purchase it online? On this pass, we can load money to use for the metro, train, or RER? Do we load money onto this pass at the stations? We can use this same pass to take the RER C to Versailles?
What is the Tt ticket then?
Thank you!

Correct, it's not possible to buy Navigo Easy cards online for delivery.  You must buy them in person.

On Navigo Easy you load tickets or passes you want, not money.

There's currently a limitation on Navigo Easy that prevents loading Paris Metro-Train-RER tickets (used for Paris Metro subway and RER surface trains) and the Paris Airports Train Ticket (used for the RER B from CDG to Paris city) onto the same Navigo Easy card at the same time.  So, if you're taking the RER B train from CDG to Paris, you need either a second Navigo Easy card or you can buy/use the Paris Airports Train ticket on your iPhones using Apple Wallet and load Paris Metro-Train-RER tickets on your Navigo Easy card.

After 4 hours has passed since the Paris Airports Train ticket was validated for use (when opening fare gates at CDG train station for example), the Navigo Easy card it was on can be re-used and loaded with Paris Metro-Train-RER tickets.

Paris Metro-Train-RER tickets can be used to travel from Paris to Versailles using the RER C.  This ticket is good for all Paris RER zones now, 1 through 5, which covers Versailles in zone 4.

Ticket t+ is an obsolete fare that is being phased out as of Jan. 1, 2025.  It's good only for Paris Metro, RER in zone 1, or Paris city buses.  These are physical paper tickets sold individually, not loaded onto passes.

You can load tickets onto the Navigo Easy pass at any Paris Metro, RER or Transilien train station within Paris or at CDG airport train stations.  You can do so at either the automated ticket vending machines or at staffed ticket windows, paying by either cash or credit card.
