Paris to Giverny by train

By | June 22, 2018 | in

Our family of four will be arriving at CDG at 7am on Sunday 23/9. We then need to travel by train to either Porte St-Denis or Bonne Nouvelle Metro Station or Réaumur-Sébastopol Metro Station or Grand Rex or Strasbourg Saint-Denis Metro Station to then walk to our accommodation. What would be the best route to take and what pass would be required? We would also like to tour around Paris on Sun 23/9- Mon 24/9 and require a pass for this. And then need the best route/pass from one of these stations to do a day trip to Giverny on 25/9. Are you please able to suggest the best routes and passes required for 2 adults and 2 teens during this time. Thank you - Kell

The only pass that will work for CDG to Paris, Sunday and Monday, would be Paris Visite 2 day 5 zone.

Cost is 38.35€ per adult, 19.15€ per child 9 and under.  Your teens will need to pay the adult price.

Route from CDG Airport to Paris Strasbourg St. Denis Metro is RER B from CDG to Gare du Nord, transfer to Metro 4 direction Marie de Montrouge until Strasbourg Saint Denis.

Paris to Giverny departs from Gare Saint Lazare in Paris and arrives at Vernon - Giverny station.  Trains cost around 15€ each way, takes about 1 hour and are served by TER or Intercites trains from Gare Saint Lazare.  No passes accepted on this train.  Just buy single or return tickets from the Grandes Lignes ticket counter inside Gare Saint Lazare.
