Why doesn't work bought at airport?

We bought a Navigo easy at airport CDG and come to Paris centre; then we wanted to charge Navigo easy with MTR tickets, but the machine permitted only bus/tram tickets. Why?
At the Service desk the employe had to change our Navigo easy and to substitue them with new ones.
Is there any bug with cards bought at airport?

After Paris Airports Tickets have been loaded onto a Navigo Easy / smartphone & used (validated at a turnstile/faregate) a period of 4-hours must pass (since the validation of the last remaining ticket on that Navigo or phone) before that same Navigo can be used again to hold Paris Metro-Train-RER (MTR) tickets (and vice-versa).

This waiting period isn't well known or publicized on official Paris public transport websites. I'm guessing this is what was preventing re-using the Navigo to load Paris MTR tickets.  Paris Bus-Tram tickets do not have overlapping coverage and can be loaded simultanously with Paris Airports Tickets.
